A voice assistant that speaks European Portuguese and runs on your own servers

Roadmap: Portuguese first, then the next language

    Live voice assistants showed us that smaller languages get little full-duplex support.

    Open-source base
    We picked an open full-duplex architecture to build on.

    pt-PT data pipeline
    Training on real European Portuguese speech: podcasts, TV, radio, parliament.

    Working prototype
    Full-duplex conversation in European Portuguese works.
  5. NOW05
    Training and evaluation
    Training continues on 4 GPUs. The main limit is how fast we can iterate.
  6. NEXT06
    8+ GPUs, bigger experiments
    Faster cycles, structured evaluation and a pt-PT demo.
  7. LATER07
    Second European language
    Check that the method works for another language once pt-PT is validated.
Data: real pt-PT speech from podcasts, public TV and radio, and parliament sessions.
Compute: 4 GPUs today, about a week per big training run. Next step is 8+ GPUs.
